There’s a certain type of homeless advocate that wants poor unhoused people to stay in the streets, even if they’re severely mentally ill. They tend to be identified in the media as “disability rights” advocates and claim that any attempt to shelter people against their will is an unconstitutional deprivation of their civil rights.
Progressives: “We don’t need no stinkin’ landlords”
This link is about a class down in L.A. for landlords. It teaches them methods of self-defense against violent renters who attack them, which apparently is a “thing” lately. Cat Brooks retweeted it with the comment, “Some stuff you just have to retweet with no comment cause there’s legit nothing to say….”.

The Grey Lady herself, The New York Times—bastion of liberalism—published an opinion piece the other day, entitled “Even Democrats Like Me Are Fed Up With San Francisco,” written by a rich venture capitalist, Michael Moritz, who among many other credentials is a major philanthropist and a financial backer of the Lincoln Project. Moritz’s central point in the essay is that Democrats “have become our own worst enemy” due to “the tyranny of the minority” that has seized control of the Democratic Party.

Our Congress person, Barbara Lee, who’s running for the U.S. Senate, just proposed a bill, The Deposit Act. It “would provide low-income renters with federal assistance to help pay for security deposits.” Lee argues that “Security deposits can be one of the biggest barriers to securing housing for low-income renters,” and therefore the Federal government should intercede “to ensure they have shelter.”
