Aren’t you proud of the City of San Francisco for their massive crackdown on criminal drug dealing in the Tenderloin and South of Market? Finally, after all these years, the City That Knows How has decided to act with moral courage, instead of the craven indebtedness it exhibited for so long toward “progressives.”
So-called "disparities" are a red herring to distract us from the real question
If there’s one word I’m sick of hearing in the media, it’s “disparities.” Car stops…arrests…sentencing…imprisonment…police use of force…whenever there’s a slow news day, the Chronicle or KQED radio or Oaklandside or some other progressive outlet can run a panic story on disparities, and make it sound as if racism were running riot.
Real estate interests are not the problem, wokesters
Oaklandside published an informative article revealing whom the major donors are of both the Recall and anti-Recall, or pro-Price, forces. In an analysis, Darwin BondGraham, who wrote the article, noted “Some of the biggest supporters of the recall are real estate companies and individuals who work in real estate development and management...”.
“Identarian garbage”
I used the word “identarian” yesterday when I referred to Pamela Price’s “identarian politics.” It’s a word I only discovered a few days when, when I stumbled across it in an article about how some self-professed liberals are getting tired of certain Democratic policies. I’ve known that for a long time; in fact, I’m one of them.
Pamela Price, driven by arrogance and vengeance, must go!
If Pamela Price were willing to concede that there’s some merit on the part of her critics, that might go a long way toward making us feel a little better about her as a human being. But no: instead of acknowledging that we’re worried about crime and that she is at least partly responsible, she doubles down, accusing us of being MAGA Republicans whose minds have been bought by billionaire conservative fascists.
