I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that the city government Oakland currently has does not represent me or my values.

It would be awfully expensive to make the minimum wage in Oakland $30 an hour, which is what progressives are proposing. But not to worry! Babs and the wokes on the City Council have a plan!

I happened to listen to KQED’s Forum program yesterday when they interviewed Ibram X. Kendi, about whom I have written previously. He is the author of “How to Be An Antiracist,” which sold a lot of books. He’s also a leading wokester who is unaware of the irony of him lecturing the rest of us on racism, for the simple reason that Kendi is himself a racist. He was lecturing on The Great Replacement Theory, a rightwing pile of intellectual junk that argues that White people are being replaced by immigrants who are not White but Brown and Black.
