Oakland has always been an inclusive and visionary city, where we celebrated our differences and nurtured our communities, through bad times and good. But things have changed. Political factions bent on serving power foment racial animosities and resist all efforts towards improving the situation of people living in our parks and roadways, who have created an untenable situation for those who have worked hard to call Oakland home. This must change. We must vote all such people out of office, hold everyone else accountable and strive together to pass laws that will be enforced, in the name of the hard-working tax payers, business people, home owners and families of Oakland, who are no longer willing to sit back quietly and allow their dreams to be snuffed out so that the people they elected can cynically move up the foodchain and leave them behind.

Our Public Parks are no Longer Safe for our Families

Our Public Parks are no Longer Safe for our Families

Crime in Oakland has exploded. The ever increasing leniency of our justice system, combined with our elected officials’ pandering of far leftwing progressive factions has made it virtually impossible to bring any but the most heinous of criminals to account. Severe, long-standing budget cuts to our police department and the general understanding among criminals that there is no enforcement, has led to an upsurge in crime of 250% in the past 12 months, with every indication that this trend will continue to rise sharply. CBO is committed to speaking out against these policies which have made living in Oakland increasingly impossible for those who have expended so much of their energy to make this their home. We want to force a return to solid, non-partisan, sensible solutions to the problem of crime, starting with fully funding the OPD and enforcing the laws we have already passed to bring the rampant criminality overtaking our communities under control now.
