Chronicle depiction of their own poll continues the misinformation campaign

So the San Francisco Chronicle conducted this big poll, which they’ve been splashing across the front page last week and again today. And guess what they found? San Franciscans are pissed off about pretty much everything: Homelessness. The Board of Supervisors. The Mayor. Crime. Housing prices. The School Board. Trash.

I don’t suppose this comes as any surprise. The Chronicle is telling us that soon, they’ll tell us their solutions to these problems. No thanks. The Chronicle helped get San Francisco into this mess, with their wokeness. I predict that their solution is more wokeness.

Look, the Chronicle has been one of the leading voices of anti-police sentiment. They heavily supported Chesa Boudin and have been resolutely against Brooke Jenkins who finally, after all these years, is cracking down on crime. The paper routinely stirs up racial divisions, pitting Black against White and Asian. Their columnists affirm “progressive” ideologies that time after time fail us, leading to our current quagmire. What was that definition of insanity? “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” By that standard, the Chronicle is insane.

Their race columnist Justin Phillips wasted no time in taking advantage of the poll to veer off into his own peculiar brand of la-la-land. His interpretation is that the poll proves that “multiracial people” have been “ignored for so long.” How’s that? What do multiracial residents of San Francisco have to do with dissatisfaction with crime, filth, encampments and the School Board? Nothing, obviously. But Justin always has to bring his racial politics into every conversation. We could be talking about the rhododendrons in Golden Gate Park and Justin would drag race into it.

How did we get here? Tolerance of crime. Tolerance of encampments. Tolerance of aberration. Tolerance of the indifference to norms. Tolerance of the steady disintegration of standards. Tolerance of challenges to our culture by disorderly elements. Tolerance of those who would overthrow public safety. In our rush to tolerance in the name of “equity” we have enabled a criminal element to destroy our cities.

Isn’t it time to reclaim our heritage? This isn’t about White, or Black, or Brown, it isn’t about gay or straight. It’s about human rights, and the right to walk our streets without fear of being attacked or killed. The progressives have brought us to the point where “equity” means the right of felons to prey upon us. That is sick. It’s why so many people are pissed off. It’s not because minorities are being trampled. It’s because those of us who love each other, who obey the law, who respect our communities, are being crushed by leftwing neo-fascists who wish to impose race-based diktats on us. This is why San Franciscans are so angry.

This morning, the Chronicle continued splashing their poll across the front page. Today’s headline is on “Police Ratings.” They asked respondents to rate the police department in three categories: “Excellent/Good,” “Fair” and “Poor/Very Poor.” If you add up the first two categories, 58% of San Franciscans think the S.F.P.D. has done an “Excellent/Good” or “Fair” job in making San Francisco “a better place to live and work.” That’s a pretty good majority, I’d say; in a Presidential race 58% would be a landslide. But how does the Chronicle describe this result? “The majority [of respondents] had negative impressions of law enforcement.”

You read that right. It’s an outright lie. Did the reporter think no one would notice? But that’s how the Chronicle does business: they promote their anti-cop ideology and damn the facts. It’s appalling that the paper’s owners, the Hearst family, allow this kind of sabotage of public opinion to go on unabated.
